Last weekend was our weekend of freedom. On Friday, Taylor sang the National Anthem at her school assembly. Since Bill was off work, we both were able to attend and see our talented girl sing. She did an excellent job! She was a little nervous, so I sat behind her to tape so she would not see me and be even more nervous. The music was a little loud, but she could still be heard. Her friends congratulated her afterward and she was proud of her accomplishment! I did take a video, but was having trouble uploading it, so all you get is a picture. Sorry, I will try again later.
On Saturday, our family took a little time away from all the baby preparations and attended the Freedom Air Show at Barksdale Air Force Base in Shreveport. Security was tight and we were greeted by these two special forces at the entrance. Well, after the metal detector and bag search.

The temp was about 82, but the humidity was really high. We took our chairs, umbrellas, and lots and lots of water. When Taylor got hot, she decided to use her umbrella as a tent.

It was a good day and Bill really enjoyed seeing both the static displays and the aerial shows. The day ended with the Blue Angels and they are always impressive. The pictures don't do any justice, but I will try to give you an idea:

All in all, it was a great weekend together with family.
