Went to visit the doctor this morning for a stress test on baby K. Her heartbeat is good and still very strong. The fluid levels are dropping, but not terribly low at this point. However, I can't go another week as they will continue to drop.
Doctor says: 48 hours left to VBAC, then a C-section. Section scheduled for 3:00 pm on Wednesday, June 17, unless something happens before that time.
Please pray:
(1) God's will to be done in this pregnancy, but also still praying for a VBAC
(2) Healthy baby K, no matter which way she arrives
(3) Peace for Bill and I as we wait these final hours
The song I heard on the radio this morning by SCC: "God is God and I am not". What a great reminder that He is in charge and we are in His hands.
The verse I was quoting at 2:30 this morning: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths." What a great reminder to me.

PRAYING!!!!
Charity, I can relate, and now I'm starting it all over again. I had to have a C-section for Elena because she was footling breech. For two weeks I tried everything I could find to get her to turn, from specialized chiropractic to doing handstands in the swimming pool (which was a miserable failure by the way). Nothing worked. But Elena was born alert, healthy and strong. I hated the long recovery and residual nerve sensitivity, though, and hope to avoid that this time around. I can tell from her demeanor that my doc is not a big fan of VBAC, though she said I could try. Since her heart is not in it, I may try switching doctors. I have a good lead, although I'd be sad to leave this practice. Despite everything, though, I know, like you, I am not the one ultimately in control. Thank goodness the One who is also knows best.
I have no doubt that you've come to a new level of trust through this journey. He is so faithful to use every circumstance to help us grow. Congratulations on your beautiful new baby girl! I sure hope I'll get to meet her, and her fantastic big sister, someday soon.
Much love, Heidi
