I don't know why it is that I hold on so tightly to those things that are temporary or non-critical. Today, we sold Bill's motorcycle. I know, many of you are now saying: "Bill had a motorcycle?" We brought it with us from CA seven years ago and it has been sitting/waiting ever since. We never transferred it from CA to TX and it needed repair. It was just not that high on the budget and time list.
Figuring that now was probably a good time to cut the fat in our budget and trim stale items from our home, the bike had to go. It was hard to say goodbye, and yet I am so grateful that we had it to sell. God truly provides in unique ways. Bill spent 2 days getting it fixed up and cleaned and we posted on Craig's List to save paying additional fees. I figured if it did not work, then we could place an ad in the paper or another alterative. Not necessary - God provided again. Within 2 days of posting the ad we had 10 people responding!
We sold it this morning to a guy who loves that brand, really wanted it, was eager to buy, and drove 4 hours to get it with cash in hand. I hope he enjoys it as much as we did the first 8 years that we owned it.
Matthew 6: 19-21
19"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Thanks God for the reminder. May I hold every gift from You in an open hand.

Jeff said, oh wow!...nice bike!
What a blessing that it sold so quickly!...and to someone who will take good care of it.
