My Husband Rocks

Ok, I know that I have not posted in a very, very, very long time, but there are days when it just seems our life does not have many, if any, interesting details. Anyway, I finally remembered to actually post on Friday about why my husband rocks. Yeah!

There are so many things about my husband that I could share and brag about, but I will attempt to limit my glowing report. (He is still human...) With a new baby entering our home, he is acutely aware of how this will change and alter our family dynamics, especially Taylor and her readjustment to no longer being an only child. So, he is intentionally making time to spend with her on a weekly basis, or at least every other week. They have a Daddy-Daughter Date. It may just be something simple like going to get new shoes that were desperately needed, but the foundation of time spent together is the goal. It may be dinner and a movie, or a quick trip to Baskin Robbins, or a walk around the mall. Last night, they did go get new shoes.

Now, my daughter, who has the new shoes had to be convinced to wear them this morning to school. She likes the old comfortable ones. I guess this is like the new jeans that I just bought her this week. She hasn't worn these either. Do we see a pattern here? I know there is a great spiritual parallel here about staying in our comfortable areas and not wanting the best. Oh well, I will stop getting too deep, this is to be about my husband and his wonderful traits, not my pre-teen daughter and her quirks.

I am very thankful to be married to a great man who values time with his children.
