Well, Bill and I realized this past weekend that we have aged more than we thought possible and our girls are growing up faster than we ever thought possible. Kirsten turned 2 months last week and is over 10 pounds and 22 inches long! Really, she is only in the 56 percentile, so right on track. Here is her 2 month picture on her family tree blanket.
Her developmental progress is right on track too. She talks, smiles, and coos to us all the time. I could watch her all day. I won't torture you with that, but here is a short video of her antics. She loves to kick her legs too.
Some growth is not as obvious. For example, Taylor turned 11. Her developmental growth: tween. Enough said. She had a very quiet birthday this year with just 1 friend over for the night. They decorated the house with streamers and balloons and dressed up just for fun. Here she is!

The line of pink streamers to the left is 11 streamers that she broke through now that she is 11 years old. How fun is that! Since she did not have an elaborate party, mom and dad got her a digital camera. Oh, and it is pink, her favorite color. She has been taking pictures and videos faster than we can turn around. I don't know how they turn out, but she is certainly enjoying herself.

One of the final things that made us realize how fast time has flown by: we drive the college van to and from church on Sunday mornings. This past Sunday a "friend" mentioned that these freshman were born in 1991! Wait, wasn't I already in college in 1991? That can't be because I still feel like that young girl some days, still in my twenties...unsure of what life holds for me...trying to find out who I am. I guess I better get moving, because 40 is staring me down. I am no longer in my 20s, and I do have a good idea of what life holds, I pretty much know who I am and I feel much more even keeled than I was in those days.
Thank You, Lord, for your patience and letting me learn and grow and become the woman You would have me be. Now I get to watch my beautiful girls grow up to be women after God's heart.
