Well, my mommy brain (or lack thereof) truly kicked in full gear today. I got up before the rest of the family, made coffee, lunches, got everyone up, sent hubby on his way, put T on the bus, fed baby K and went on with my day. As I was dutifully cleaning up the kitchen, I saw this very neat pile of lunch baggies filled with a peanut butter sandwich, fruit, chips, and a cookie. Uh-oh - T's lunch. She responsibly picked up her (empty) lunch bag and headed to school. Her poor mother was left at home with the remains of her brain.
She did survive, but was very hungry when I picked her up in the afternoon. She did not realize that there was money on her account or that she could charge. Her caring friends gave her a granola & cereal bar, so she was not starving and she had a little left over from yesterday.
Let's hope tomorrow will be better.
