Well, I guess you can figure out from the title, Taylor did not win the Student Council election for her class. She did a good job on her speech, but was a little rattled. Apparently, they were supposed to write out their speech and read from the paper. We pushed her beyond her comfort zone and wanted her to learn how to actually do a speech, so she was upset because of that. It would not have disqualified her and the teacher went ahead and let her do her speech, but it was hard for her.
There were 9 students in her class running for 1 seat on the council. Not good odds to begin with. Each student voted twice to make things a little more even. Taylor said that the girl who won is very popular. I guess now we begin the teen years and dealing with popular vs not. Taylor know she is not popular and we tried to explain to her that most of what makes a person popular is their confidence.
Thanks for all your prayers. We are so blessed with wonderful friends and family!

Well that just stinks! The kids and I prayed for her and they have asked me several times how she did. But you know what...kudos to her that she even tried! That is awesome in my book. Tell her that she is pretty popular with me! ;-) Tell her we are very proud of her just for trying!!
