All that to say, this post is about T, her beauty, and what she is doing.
She is beautiful inside and out. Her heart yearns to help others and her giving spirit is endless. On Monday, she was on a school trip and another girl did not have money for lunch, so T bought something for her to eat so she would not go hungry. She wants to make cookies or snacks and take them to the people on our block for Valentine's Day. She is beautiful outside with a gorgeous olive skin tone, naturally wavy hair and big brown eyes. Taking her ballet class has taught her some poise and her long legs and grace will continue to develop as she becomes a beautiful young lady.
She is very creative. She loves to do crafts and make things. She will often go into her room and use whatever she can to "invent" something, make notes for mom and dad, make "decorations" for her room, labels for baby K or anything that she thinks is fun and useful. I don't want to crush her creative spirit and have been trying to focus it into new arenas. Last week she began learning to crochet. So far, she has made a 3"x3" square, but wants to make a small baby blanket for her dolls. This is just the first stitch she has learned, but practice is good.
She is smart. On Monday and Tuesday of this week, she participated in the Model United Nations with her school. This process began months ago when each participant had to write a Resolution about a worldwide issue and how they planned to resolve it. Then they had to write a speech for that resolution to give to the United Nations for a vote. For every resolution on their team, they had to write pros and cons to be given during the meetings. This was a wonderful opportunity for her to learn how this organization operates. I had absolutely no interest when I was that age. She is also competing in the UIL this Saturday doing Music Memory. She has to be able to identify 16 classical songs, their composer and the selection (1st movement, etc). It sounds a lot easier than it actually is. How many of us can actually spell Tchaikovsky correctly? (besides us piano teachers).
She is loving. She has always wanted a baby sister and was blessed last summer. Baby K is her pride and joy. When she comes home from school, that is the first thing that she does is give baby K hugs and kisses. She can make that baby laugh more, louder and longer than anyone else. She always is giving mom and dad hugs and kisses and loves to just be with us. She is my snuggle bug. Up until I was pregnant and did not have a lap, she would often sit and snuggle in my lap. I really miss those times and need to be better and more intentional about time with her snuggling and talking with her.

She is talented. She sings, she plays piano, she dances. I think she is a great piano player and I love to hear her sing. She often sings to her sister and just sings around the house (kind of like her mom).
Well, I could go on and on, but this post is getting long enough and I figure you all probably have a list as long as mine of things to be done. Suffice it to say that my beautiful T is a blessing to me and so often I get wrapped up in the day to day activities of being a parent and teaching/training her, that I forget to appreciate her many wonderful qualities that a so much a part of who she is and who she will become. My ultimate goal for her is to become a woman after God's own heart and she is doing that too. So T, remember that mommy loves you more every day and sees the young lady you are becoming.
Here are some random pictures of her from the past year.

Sweet post! You ought to let Taylor read it. I bet she feels the same tension you do at times.
