God's greater plan

I do not always understand what God's plan is for our lives, but I always know that He is sovereign.  I did not think that I would say goodbye to one of my good friends before I turned 40, but on Friday, August 28 at 1:05 pm, my good friend Kathy West went to be with her Saviour.  She is no longer in pain, has a new body free of cancer and is rejoicing.  Our prayers are with her husband and 3 girls as they grieve.  We are thankful that she is no longer in pain and also that God answered our prayers and she did not die on her daughter's birthday (today).

Eric & Kathy were good friends of ours when we lived in CA.  They moved to the area in 1998 and we met them shortly after T was born.  They attended our church and we became fast friends as did the Moens.  All three couples were frequently spending time together, watching movies, going to dinner, and just enjoying friendship.  Eric & Kathy went with Bill and I to southern CA for my 30th birthday. It was a great weekend full of wonderful memories.  Kathy, you will be missed by many.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I will pray for her husband and daughters. That's so hard!

How hard it must be to lose your spouse and mother at such a young age. They are in our prayers.
