My poor baby K!
She had a reaction to antibiotic on Monday and we are STILL dealing with it.
Started with an ear infection last Monday, (10/11). After a full week on antibiotics, she developed a rash that spread very quickly. Back to the doctor (10/18) and left with a new prescription for different antibiotics and dosage for Benadryl and Tylenol. Told it should be better within 48 hours.
Tuesday morning: baby K clawing at skin, rash spread and worse. Called back phone nurse, told to wait until Wednesday.
Wednesday morning: baby K clawing at skin (w/ mittened hands at this point), screaming when moved, skin hot to touch. Called 3 times on Wednesday, finally got to see a different doctor by 2:45 pm. Informed that sometimes these rashes can last up to 14 days! Please no. I think I might claw at my own skin by that point. Doctor looked at her ears and said they seem to be better. At least the medicine was working. Took her off all antibiotics and put her on prescription to help with the rash and ibuprofen for irritation.
Wednesday night: more screaming, extreme swelling of hands and feet result in cold bath (with mom, so she will stay there). Finally asleep by 11, but up again at 1:45. Thankfully slept after that.
Thursday morning: swelling down, acting normal, wants to play. Seems we are on the downhill slope. Praise God for His healing hand and the ability to learn.

That's terrible~ That's how we found out that Isaac was allergic to Penicillin. Those rashes are horrible. Glad she is on the mend~
My goodness, I am so sorry!! Glad she seems to be feeling better.
