Ribbit

As I type this post, I am reminded of T's previous experience with frogs.  Although to stay on track, I will tell you she dissected her first frog in science this week on Wednesday morning.  When asked about it, she said it was ok.  She was able to identify the necessary internal organs and systems and was somewhat intrigued, but not thrilled.  It is very interesting for Bill and I to remember our forays into the world of dissection, although those were in high school.

Now to the second story.  As I typed the title to this post, I remembered T's first experience with a frog.  When she was 2 years old, our home was right next to the pond on our property.  We had a very prolific frog population and as they grew from tadpoles into frogs, they overran our yard and were very easy to catch.  So, being the loving and supportive parents that we are, we caught a frog and tossed it into her bath with her.  Imagine if you will a child trying to climb up a slippery bathtub and pushing the water with any available limb.  At the same time, the poor little frog is trying to escape, but the water (circulated by T) keeps rotating him in circles.  Soooo, the harder she pushes the water, the more the frog returns to her.  Daddy rode in and saved the day by pulling her from the tub.  It was quite funny and one of our family memories.
