Stop, stop, stop

My girls are growing up waaaayyy too fast.

T is becoming a young woman before our very eyes and no matter how hard we try, the sand keeps slipping from our hands and we are unable to recapture it.  Of course, we want her to grow up, but days like today of her playing in the yard with a friend, laughter filling my home, the sweet smell of sunlight and fresh air are memories I want to cherish forever.  So, I put it on tape.

They made a pretend dinner and fresh flower arrangements for the table too.

Baby K is growing up too fast too.  We have been talking to her occasionally about going potty in the potty chair.  We did not have one, but at least bringing up the subject.  Tonight, daddy pulled out the potty chair and we set it in the bathroom.  Immediately after her bath, she goes right to it and sits down.  I am thinking, no way, she just got out of the bath.  That is an empty bladder for sure.  After multiple ups and downs, funny faces and sounds, and interest in the overall newness we figured she was freezing and would be done.  Nope!  About 10 minutes into the production, she is up inspecting the chair again and starts to pee on the floor.  We turn her around and she actually pees in the potty!  Madly searching for reward, we give her an M&M, resulting in cries for more. Maybe this will go well, maybe not, but here is the first step in the process.

We love watching our old family videos. It's fun to remember what life was like when the kids were little. And way to go baby K! That's awesome!!
